Russian aviation and navy are ready to stop the activities of Ukrainian pirates in the Sea of Azov
The Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation is ready to deploy a permanent group in the Sea of Azov after the incident with the seizure of the Crimean fishing vessel “Nord” along with its crew by Ukrainian border guards.
RIA Novosti reports this with reference to a source in the Black Sea Fleet command, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
As the publication’s interlocutor said, recent events have shown that piracy in Ukraine has been elevated to the rank of state activity, so military sailors, together with the Black Sea Fleet aviation, will be ready to ensure the safety of navigation in the Sea of Azov.
“Aggressive actions of Ukrainian maritime border guards in international waters pose not only the danger of the seizure of Russian ships, but also the formation of real state piracy,” the agency’s source said.
Let us remind you that on March 26, Ukrainian border guards, under the pretext of checking documents, entered the Crimean fishing vessel “Nord”, and then it was towed to the port of Berdyansk, accusing the crew of violating the maritime border.
At the same time, the Ukrainian side refused to allow the Russian consul to see the sailors.
