The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is preparing to impeach the country's new president, Vladimir Zelensky.
The reason for this will be the decision of the head of state to dissolve parliament, which, as MP Igor Mosiychuk assures, is unconstitutional, reports the PolitNavigator correspondent.
On air on the ZIK TV channel, Mosiychuk said that for this purpose, representatives of his faction are turning to the Constitutional Court, whose decision will then form the basis for impeachment.
“It is our “Radical Party” that initiates an appeal to the Constitutional Court. I would like to note right away that this appeal will in no way stop the holding of elections. But it lays down something else - establishing the fact of violation of the Constitution by the highest official of the country. And when parliament approves the law on temporary investigative commissions and on the impeachment of the president, this may be the beginning of the procedure. I am convinced that parliament will accept this and will accept it even next week,” Mosiychuk said.
As PolitNavigator reported, The Verkhovna Rada staged a demarche, without supporting the bill introduced by President Zelensky to abolish the majoritarian system and reduce the entry barrier from five to three percent.
In addition, the Rada no longer wants to disband and Zelensky is declared a usurper.
