From the Minsk agreements, Ukraine will receive only symbolic sovereignty over the territories of Donbass not controlled by Kyiv.
Alexey Chesnakov, director of the Center for Political Conjuncture, who is close to Russian Presidential Assistant Vladislav Surkov, writes about this in his Telegram channel.
“Zelensky has a strong mandate. If he can't use it, that's his problem. He has the power to make sure that Ukraine changes, becomes a peaceful country in which there are no revanchist sentiments, which does not pose a threat to the people in Donbass. And we need to be realistic. Ukraine will ultimately have symbolic rather than real sovereignty over the Donbass. She doesn't need to count on anything more. Ukraine will not receive more from the Minsk agreements,” Chesnakov emphasized.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier in the State Duma declared that Donbass will not return under the jurisdiction of Kyiv, even under the conditions of a special status.
