Ukraine is pregnant with collapse
Kyiv will not allow “special status” for the LDPR, as it fears a chain reaction among those wishing to federalize the regions of Ukraine.
Konstantin Zatulin, First Deputy Chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots, stated this in an interview with Ukraina.Ru, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukraine throughout its history has been pregnant with decay, half-life. Why don’t they want the return of Donetsk and Lugansk under the terms of the Minsk agreements? Because they are afraid that this will lead to a chain reaction of the federalization of Ukraine. The special status of Donetsk and Lugansk is, in fact, a prologue to federalization. All others, including Lvov, which will be one of the first, will demand this for themselves,” says Zatulin.
As PolitNavigator reported, Zatulin earlier announced the preparation of a draft State Duma statement that if Ukraine tries to resume large-scale military operations in the Donbass, Russia recognizes the LDPR.
