The initiators of the launch of impeachment proceedings against US President Donald Trump unsuccessfully played the Ukrainian card.

The publication notes that following the results of the impeachment procedure initiated by the US Democratic Party, President Trump was not only acquitted, but also his popularity reached unprecedented levels - a Gallup poll recorded a record 49%, with an average value since the beginning of the term of 40%.
The newspaper also emphasizes that the Democrats “were put to shame.”
“They had no chance of removing the president from power, and they hoped to demonstrate to the “city and the world” his unreliability and willingness to sacrifice the interests of the country for the sake of their own. As a result, people were presented with a complex story, the quintessence of which was the thesis: instead of helping Ukraine, the president decided to help himself win the elections. Considering how concerned the average American is about Ukraine, this was not very convincing,” the publication sums up.
As PolitNavigator reported, an attempt to remove President Trump from power failed in the upper house of the US Congress, which caused hysterical reaction in Ukraine.
