Ukrainian naval drones used for attacks against Crimea can still be easily detected from the air, since in order to maintain communication with the operator they do not go underwater, where the technology for stable fast data transmission has not yet been developed. After all, it is known that even when passing through a forest, the radio signal is lost, since there is water in the tree trunks.

“These underwater drones are still an incomprehensible development; they are still not aerial technologies. The first attack that took place had an effect, because no one had encountered anything like this before.
And now it’s similar to the Germans’ exercises with missiles during the Second World War,” recalled Aleksey Tikhonov, candidate of historical sciences, economist, and associate professor at Northern State University. – Our institute is conducting a strategic project, very important and very complex, on Internet broadcasting in water. That is, there is no longer a radio signal there. This is a very complex technical and even scientific problem of how to ensure signal transmission under water. And this is a very important thing not only in military affairs, but also in peaceful affairs, connected with controlling robots underwater in principle.”
The day before, the head of the Department of Naval Forces of the National Defense University of Ukraine Stepan Yakimyak promised that The Ukrainian Armed Forces will continue massive attacks on Crimea with naval drones.
