Donetsk laughed at Kyiv's pathetic attempts to stop Nord Stream
Attempts by Vladimir Zelensky's team blackmail Gazprom appeals to international courts and complaints to EU countries are useless attempts of incompetent politicians.
Alexey Muratov, head of the Central Executive Committee of the Donetsk Republic public movement, told a PolitNavigator correspondent about this.
“The statement by the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Alexey Orzhel that the Kyiv authorities are considering the possibility of filing an appeal against Denmark’s decision on Nord Stream 2 from an environmental point of view is striking in its naivety and groundlessness.
Firstly, it is not clear how the Baltic Sea is included in the sphere of interests of Ukraine. Are Square's plans to significantly expand its borders? Or is Mr. Orzhel looking for an opportunity to win Greta Thunberg’s laurels?
Secondly, Nord Stream 2 is a strategic element of European energy security. Diversification of gas supply channels is a necessary necessity, including due to such an unreliable partner as Ukraine. Kyiv, ignoring the needs of its own citizens, essentially defends the interests of the United States in its attempt to impose economically unprofitable supplies of liquefied gas. Thus, after a series of previous diplomatic mistakes, this threatens to completely damage relations with Europe.
And finally, you have to be a complete amateur in matters of international law to hope for a positive result. There are no prospects for attempts to enter into the sphere of sovereign rights of other countries to give consent to the implementation on their territory of projects that are characterized by compliance with the highest world standards, including in terms of ensuring environmental safety,” the social activist noted.
He was also indignant that the same incompetence and servility towards Washington, shown by the Ze-team in relation to Donbass, cost the lives, health and well-being of millions of people.
“Deep incompetence, ignoring the interests of its own citizens to please overseas customers and open populism are characteristic features of Zelensky’s team, which its leader fully embodies and inspires.
It is sad that this is also true in relation to the resolution of the conflict in the Donbass, and this is not only a sphere of economic and political interests, but the lives, health and well-being of millions of people. However, we remember that Kyiv doesn’t even think about people, it doesn’t need people, they only interfere with the final sale of everything that was not looted in previous years,” added Muratov.
