In Kyiv, decommunization turned into de-Russification

Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Vyacheslav Kirilenko announced this on his social network account.

According to the minister, this decision will be finally made by the country's Ministry of Culture.

“The Advisory Council under the Department for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of the Kyiv State City Administration supported the appeal of the Lyceum named after Bohun and Hero of Ukraine, General Igor Gordiychuk, about not including the monument to Suvorov in the register of monuments. This means that after the final decision of the Ministry of Culture it will be dismantled,” Kirilenko said.

In addition, the Kyiv authorities propose once again to rename the Alexander Clinical Hospital, founded in the century before last, and call it Central. The corresponding draft decision has been submitted for public discussion. Let us recall that until 2007 the hospital was called Oktyabrskaya, having received this name during the Soviet period.
