According to Turkish media, the attack was organized by the UAE Air Force using Mirage 2000-9 fighters. They took off from Egyptian airfields.

It is not known for certain who carried out the attack. However, the version that this was done by the forces of the Libyan National Army (LNA) is contradicted by the fact that the Libyan troops do not have suitable aircraft for such an attack.

In addition, LNA Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar could visit Abu Dhabi almost immediately after the strike. Such data is contained in a map of the movement of the civilian airliner published on social networks.
