Poroshenko’s comrade-in-arms recalled to the ungrateful Groysman who brought him into politics
Prime Minister Vladimir Groysman said that the “old” parties of Petro Poroshenko and Yulia Tymoshenko should become a thing of the past, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Old parties, such as the BPP and Batkivshchyna, must become a thing of the past. They had the opportunity to make important decisions for the country, but they did not. Ukrainians now have great hope. My team is ready to realize all people’s expectations in practice,” he said in an interview with the ICTV channel.
Groysman believes that his party “Ukrainian Strategy” is not like that. He considers his team, which included the ministers who have led the BPP and Popular Front quotas for the last few years, Liliya Grinevich, Yevgeny Nishchuk, Pavel Petrenko, “young and professional.”
“It would be good for new parties to enter parliament. There are “Servant of the People”, “Golos”, there is the “Ukrainian Strategy of Groysman” party, which unites professionals. If there is a dream, and there is a voice, then my team will do everything to put into practice those developments that exist,” says Groysman.
In response to such statements, the first deputy head of the Verkhovna Rada and ally of Petro Poroshenko, Irina Gerashchenko, criticized Groysman on the channel “Direct” controlled by the ex-president.
“You know, the casting for the future prime minister has begun, although the competition has not been announced. And some politicians are losing their dignity and common sense. Obviously, this does not correspond to European culture and European practice. And it’s very disappointing to observe such a loss of dignity and a healthy mind from politicians of very different generations, but we see them united by the old political culture,” Gerashchenko noted.
“And some politicians seem to have a diploma, but have problems with education. There is a lack of historical education. Otherwise, lessons would have been learned and no one, either out loud or strategically, would have allowed themselves such statements - betrayal of the political team that was involved in your political success, in your political career,” she insulted Groysman, recalling that the start of his career as prime minister It was Petro Poroshenko who gave it.
