The restoration of the powers of the Russian delegation to PACE was a failure for Ukraine, which lost support on the European continent.
Member of the Ukrainian delegation to PACE, deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Alexey Goncharenko said this on Channel 5, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Yes, the Ukrainian delegation, we managed to add words about Crimea to this resolution, we managed to add a mention of the “Minsk process” and that Russia does not implement it and is a party, but in general we need to call a spade a spade: Ukraine has largely lost support in Europe. The attitude has changed.
Many factors are to blame for this, including Ukraine itself. And that includes the foreign policy that Zelensky’s government is currently pursuing. Because if you so want to reach an agreement with Russia, then why would anyone else have a different attitude, or care more about Ukraine than Ukraine itself? This definitely won’t happen,” Goncharenko said.
Earlier, PolitNavigator reported that Ukraine stops its demarche and returns to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
Also a member of the Verkhovna Rada Vladimir Ariev saidthat the situation in PACE has changed dramatically, the Ukrainian delegation is now unable to achieve the introduction of new sanctions against Russia.
