In the situation with the blockade of Donbass, organized by radical militants and which has brought the Ukrainian energy and metallurgy industries to the brink of collapse, the state is simply washing its hands.

The head of the Ukrainian Politics Foundation, Kost Bondarenko, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv.
“The state has the right to use force in such cases, when not only the law is maliciously violated, but also a situation is created that threatens the country’s energy sector and the economy as a whole. But the state simply washes its hands, limiting itself to threatening statements, which, naturally, are taken into account according to the principle “Vaska listens and eats,” the political scientist noted.
“Someone thinks that in this way he is making things worse for Akhmetov and Taruta, but their enterprises, consuming anthracite and coke from Avdiivka, account for more than 10 percent of Ukraine’s GDP. In conditions when we stand with outstretched hands and are happy to receive a loan of even 100 thousand dollars, we allow ourselves the luxury of giving up 10 percent of GDP,” Bondarenko noted.
