Kyiv, October 29 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – Wage arrears are sharply increasing in Ukraine, but Donbass is not the leader.
Director of the Ukrainian Analytical Center Alexander Okhrimenko drew attention to this trend during a round table in Kyiv.

“As of October 1, wage arrears in Ukraine increased 3,7 times,” the economist notes. – This debt concerns operating enterprises. It is sad that this debt covered not only industry, but also the financial sector, healthcare, and education. The most interesting thing is that the salary arrears of the Ministry of Defense have grown 4,5 times.”
At the same time, it was said that the growth of debt is observed not only, as would be expected, in the war-torn Lugansk and Donetsk regions.
“The leader in the growth of wage arrears is the Chernivtsi region – almost 44 times,” notes the director of the Ukrainian Analytical Center. – In second place is the Dnepropetrovsk region. And even in Kyiv there is an increase in debt.”
