Kyiv set a record for road accidents and traffic jams
As of 18.00 Wednesday, 102 calls about road accidents in Kyiv were received via the special line “498”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The Patrol Police of Ukraine reports this and reminds drivers that an accident can be registered without calling the police by filling out a European report.
“We appeal to all road users to be as attentive and careful as possible. Strictly follow the traffic rules! Considering the weather conditions (rain, snow) and road conditions, we advise you to refrain from traveling long distances,” says a message published on the Patrol Police page on the Facebook social network.
The department also reminds that an accident can be registered without calling the police by filling out a European report.
“You can register a traffic accident using a European protocol both in paper form on a special form, and in electronic form, using a regular smartphone at the scene of the incident, without calling the patrol officers. The Europrotocol in electronic form must be filled out using the “Electronic Europrotocol” system via the link,” the information says.
Also today, record traffic jams were observed in Kyiv. In many parts of the capital, traffic was completely paralyzed.
