Now Kernes is in the emergency hospital, he is being operated on, doctors are fighting for his life: he was shot in the back, his lung and liver were hit.
A police investigative team is working at the scene of the incident, the regional Department of Internal Affairs reported. The fact of the event was entered into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations, and all the circumstances of the incident are being clarified.
Taking into account the fact that Gennady Kernes has recently spoken out against pro-Russian movements, there have already been suggestions that representatives of a neighboring state may be behind the assassination attempt.
