“I want to fix everything” - the Ukrainian-born Poklonskaya was drawn to the homeland of the Russian Spring
Russian State Duma deputy Natalya Poklonskaya, who allegedly herself decided not to continue working in the next convocation, is in no hurry to reveal her plans for the future, trying to maintain the intrigue as much as possible.
Thus, Poklonskaya was unable to get a conversation on air on the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Why won’t you be a deputy, what happened?” – asked radio host Vladimir Vorsobin.
“This is absolutely my decision, since a proposal was made to work in a slightly different format. And I want to develop, and I like the format that was offered to me. I want to move on, I didn’t cling to the deputy’s chair - that’s all, you won’t move me anywhere from here, I’m so comfortable here, I feel so good here, in the deputy’s chair, that I won’t go anywhere, I’ll sit here and earn my pension. No,” explained Poklonskaya.
“What, are deputies doing this in the State Duma? They write the laws, Natalya Vladimirovna,” Vorsobin clarified.
“The fact is that I didn’t succeed in writing laws,” admitted the still-deputy. “I want to develop in order to gain a different experience and then with this experience be useful to our country and our people.”
According to her, it is “too early” to say where she plans to go.
Poklonskaya also denied rumors that some media published information that she was asked to leave United Russia because she too often talks about being Ukrainian.
“The leadership of the faction in no way criticized me about my nationality. I am indeed Ukrainian. And it says so in the passport. It’s completely normal for us, this is not something bad, on the contrary, it’s very good,” she said and added that her emphasis on her nationality only alarms the leadership of Ukraine.
“Because I demonstrate with my statement that I am Ukrainian, that Ukraine is not the way the leaders of today’s Ukraine want to present it. Ukraine is completely different. This is the one until 2014, and then, of course, nationalism began to flourish there. And this is wrong,” added the ex-prosecutor.
Vorsobin also noted that many people say that Poklonskaya is not leaving “on her own.”
“Actually, it is my right to keep the intrigue and not tell until the appointment has taken place,” the deputy avoided.
She added that no matter how much she loves Moscow, her homeland is Crimea.
“Moscow is beautiful, a metropolis, I can’t find an opportunity here to go to my native places, gain strength, some energy, be with nature, because I’m simply not local, I work here, I only have work in Moscow, I actually don’t go on vacation,” Poklonskaya complained.
“What didn’t work out for you in Moscow? If you now analyze your successes and failures, what if you came back now, would you not repeat it?” – the presenter interrogated.
“I would behave more carefully, more carefully in my statements, not like a prosecutor, as I’m used to, but like a politician. A politician must be able to vary,” Poklonskaya admitted. “To survive, you need to be more cunning and use your wits.”
