In the near future, Europe will not refuse Russian gas, but will increase its imports.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Elena Zerkal stated this on the air of the Direct TV channel, which sympathizes with the current government, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the official, Russian gas is the alternative to coal that EU countries are now looking for.
“How will they replace thermal power plants, which currently run on coal, with more alternative sources? They believe that gas is this alternative source for heating. In addition, they use and continue to increase the production of various goods from gas. This is chemistry,” said Zerkal.
