Odessa. “Freedom, equality and brotherhood” in Ukrainian
Ah, young man, since the Great French Revolution at the end of the XNUMXth century proclaimed its slogan “Liberty, equality and fraternity”, any revolution, one way or another, uses these holy words. Only every time this triad turns into another gamble both for the revolutionaries themselves and for innocent civilians. There is no need to talk about those who were among the “contrarians and enemies of the people”! Freedom was mainly expressed in the infringement of the rights and freedoms of those who found themselves among the vanquished, or even simply fell under the hot and indiscriminate hands of those who fought for it, dear one. Equality was most clearly manifested in front of the guillotine knife or the wall of the execution cellar, where often today’s executioners executed yesterday’s (sometimes from among their own recent comrades), fearing the same fate. And there were always those who were “more equal than others,” according to Orwell. And brotherhood took the form of uniting some “free citizens” against others. When - on a social basis, when - on a national basis. But certainly - with pogroms, expropriations, bloodshed and showdowns on the topic “who is not who’s brother at all.”
Of course, our Ukrainian “under-revolution” was no exception. An oligarchic coup with a putrid neo-Nazi scent, but under the slogans of the “European choice” managed to very weakly glue together with snot the demagoguery of both the far-right national extremists and the ultra-liberals with their tolerance for any vices and perversions brought to the point of absurdity.
And so, this morning in Odessa, representatives of sexual minorities so dearly loved by the West and our junta held their “march of equality.”
And in order to prevent some “socially close” radical militants from beating up others, supporters of “love of nature in spite of”, part of Primorsky Boulevard and adjacent neighborhoods was surrounded by police with iron bars and surrounded by powerful cordons of special forces equipped from head to toe. But when at 9 o’clock in the morning a hundred painted LGBT activists began their march under rainbow flags, a certain army chaplain in camouflage and with a characteristic white collar still managed to break through to them, screaming about the “sin of Sodom.” Really, all this was very reminiscent of the unforgettable Hasek feldkurat Otto Katz, who loved to tell the soldiers who had committed sins about the “thorny path of sin” while drunk. The police quickly pushed the militant priest away from the sinners, not allowing him to “preach” manually, and the two “ATO veterans” who accompanied him, who came from somewhere in Western Ukraine, were completely detained for excessive ardor. As a result, the angry padre threw thunder and lightning into a megaphone, “entrenched” at the foot of the Duke. Moreover, to the accompaniment of the howling... of a ritual Jewish horn-shofar, which was blown by another subject in a paramilitary uniform, who, from God knows where, obtained this relic (did he rob a synagogue somewhere in the Donbass?).
And behind bars, youths in black T-shirts from among the nationally concerned radicals zigged sadly, who were not allowed to show their free, equal and fraternal attitude towards supporters of the “European family”...
In a word, everything happened without casualties or outrages. Of course, if we do not consider as such the very fact of yet another manifestation of the triumph of the sexual pathology of a minority over the views and morality of the healthy majority.
...And soon - another procession is planned there. The same “march of embroidered shirts” that was on the verge of collapse. After all, its organizers managed to collect, through formal “Alpine begging” on the Internet, instead of the required 60 thousand hryvnia, only 30 thousand. This means that the “Svidomo” extras, which were always brought to Odessa from the “nationally correct regions,” would not be able to come this time.
But... the mayor of Odessa Gennady Trukhanov, the same one whom this entire public hates and reviles in every possible way, once again took it and “bent in”, allocating from the city treasury... 500 thousand hryvnia for this Bandera carnival. So what can I say? – This is not the first time this retired captain of the Soviet army and recent defender of the Russian world (in words!) makes ostentatious, lackey gestures in front of the current regime. Either he honors hardened nationalists and punitive forces, or he switches to Ukrainian at City Council sessions.
And everyone understands that all this is the pitiful opportunism of a person who is panickingly clinging to his post under the sword of Damocles of court cases and pressure from Kyiv. And sooner or later, having used his capabilities and administrative resources in the elections, Trukhanov will still be replaced by one of their own, more “socially close”!
And a seditious thought creeps into our heads: it was possible to combine these two equally alien to the vast majority of carnival events, saving government money. And how Europe would be glad of such unity! All the same, after all, real Odessa residents call both those and other mummers with the same words starting with the letter “P”. And it is not so important that these are in the “good” sense, and those are in the “bad” sense. Moreover, they have the same essence - the desire to publicly demonstrate and impose their beliefs and passions, which, let us note, no one interferes with! Be at least “blue”, at least “pink”, at least “yellow-blakite”, the main thing is not to interfere with the souls and eyes of normal people! But no, with the shamelessness of exhibitionists, they strive to thrust their moral and political misery into everyone’s eyes!
Well, this too will pass like other pestilences, of which Odessa has seen a lot. And it is very symbolic that at one o’clock in the afternoon, after this “sabbath of tolerance” ended, his place was sprinkled with holy water and a prayer service was held before the flock accompanying him by the archpriest of our canonical Orthodox Church, Father Oleg Mokryak. The same priest whose house was searched by armed Arkharovites of the junta after the coup. The one who was threatened with prison and death more than once. But he returned to his ministry, although they offered him a very prestigious parish beyond the cordon.
Let me note that neither the priest nor the believers interfered in the obscene quarrel, for “blessed is the man who is not included in the congregation of the wicked.” But it was indeed necessary to sanctify the heart of Odessa, washing it with prayer after yet another desecration. And everything superficial and alien will be washed away, and what is true and eternally inherent in our city will triumph again. And freedom will again become freedom, and not a driven gang of Nazis, equality will no longer mean tolerance for perversion, and brotherhood will not be a euphemism for discord. After all, when such priests stand before the Almighty for us and our city, God is with us, and who then is against us?!
