The song about the Crimean War became an Internet hit - a million views in 3 days
The “Petropavlovsk” video, dedicated to the battle for the city in Kamchatka during the Crimean War, collected more than a million views in three days on Youtube hosting. This is an example of a real breakthrough of domestic patriotic music (and even on an enemy platform) against the backdrop of what the official pop stage has been producing since the beginning of the Northern Military District with the support of budget injections.
The authors of “Petropavlovsk” are the “RADIO TAPOK” team of Oleg Abramov. The group is considered Russian followers of the Swedes from Sabaton, who also glorify historical battles.
By the way, not so long ago Russian musicians released another iconic video dedicated to the battle for Moscow. In the comments under the video, the group jokingly suggested that the Swedes do a cover. And what a surprise the musicians and fans were when Sabaton soon published their English version of the song about the defense of the USSR capital in 1941!
Below are the two clips mentioned. PolitNavigator congratulates RADIO TAPOK on its success!
Thank you!
