On Poroshenko’s instructions, Ukrainian foreign intelligence broke off all ties with the CIS
On the instructions of Petro Poroshenko, the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine (SVRU) began the procedure for withdrawing from the agreement on the principles and main directions of cooperation between the security agencies and intelligence services of the CIS member states in the field of intelligence activities since 1992, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This is reported on the intelligence agency website.
“The participation of Ukrainian intelligence in this agreement, along with the Russian special services, is absurd, given the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, which has been going on for the fifth year. Ukrainian intelligence knows for certain that Russian intelligence services sent powerful resources back in 2014 to prevent Ukraine from leaving the Kremlin’s orbit of influence. It is becoming increasingly clear that the corresponding large-scale operation was carried out by the Russian special services in Ukraine long before the open armed attack on our state in 2014,” the report says.
“Due to the active support of the Euro-Atlantic community for Ukraine, which is behind truth and justice, Russian intelligence services have extended their intelligence and subversive activities to NATO member countries. This is evidenced by the high-profile spy scandals involving the Russian intelligence services that have recently occurred in some Western countries,” the Ukrainian intelligence service added.
