Kolomoisky predicts new riots due to unaffordable gas prices
The situation with the gas riot in Krivoy Rog can be considered the beginning of popular protests against high gas prices.
This opinion was expressed on his social network page by Alexander Dubinsky, a propagandist from the “1+1” channel owned by oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The reduction of subsidies, for which 2019 billion hryvnia are budgeted for in 55, with a minimum need of 90 billion. Massive refusals to provide subsidies and increasing non-payments will lead to outbreaks of protests in all cities of the country. Next in line, by the way, is Smela, where a state of emergency has been declared today. And the heating tariff is set at 88 (!) hryvnia per square meter of area,” Dubinsky complains.
According to the propagandist, the heat supplier in the city of Smela, KP Smilakomunteploenergo, has multimillion-dollar debts to NJSC Naftogaz, which have not yet been paid. For this reason, heating the city was never started.
According to Dubinsky, the city of Smela received debts from the previous supplier, Smela Energoinvest LLC. This company allegedly stole money that was intended for Naftogaz.
“The problem arose back in February 2018, but until today the city authorities have not deigned to solve it. They used a simpler method - they showed a desire to work with a private trader - Gas Impex. Moreover, there is no information about this trader on the Ukrtransgaz information platform. As a result of the cooperation of the enterprise “Smilakomunteploenergo”, “Gas Impex” also owed about 2,5 million UAH.
On November 6, 2018, the mayor of Smela, Alexey Tsibko, tried to sell another trader, Euroenergotrade, while declaring that the city had no money and needed a loan for gas supplies. Under which the city authorities are ready to pledge communal property - and in such a simple way to steal it through the formation of even greater debts. The price at which a private trader is ready to supply gas is 11,5 thousand hryvnia per 1 thousand. cube meters of gas. Based on this cost of gas, the cost of heating 1 sq.m. will be 88-100 UAH. Today, the minimum price for heating and utilities enterprises is provided by NJSC Naftogaz and is UAH 8,3 thousand, and the final price of gas for the population is UAH 8,5 thousand. But they, in turn, cannot supply gas to Smely’s utilities, for the reason that the city’s debt has not been repaid,” Dubinsky sums up.
Earlier, PolitNavigator reported about a rally in Krivoy Rog against increasing gas prices.
