Vice Speaker of the Rada is dumbfounded: Ukrainian deputies agreed to cooperate with Russia
A number of politicians and deputies in the southeastern regions of Ukraine began to work with Russia, which entered these territories.
Vice Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Alexander Kornienko stated this in an interview with the Kyiv online publication “Left Bank”.
He was asked which politicians are potentially subject to the new laws recently adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on liability for collaboration.
“Those who simply communicate with the occupier now and here are included. This is definitely a former people’s deputy and completely disrespected by me, Mr. Ilya Kiva. Who broadcasts almost from the center of Moscow and tells us how to live.
But we must understand that this is a new legislative area. And now we will see how it applies to certain individuals. I can say for sure that these will be politicians, current deputies of local councils who act on the side of the enemy, follow their instructions and communicate with him. We saw this in Kherson (Vladimir Saldo Bloc), in Berdyansk. There are also such representatives in other cities,” Kornienko said.
He promises to investigate in the future how this could have happened.
“And in general, besides this, there are many other questions. Particularly how certain things were prepared in advance. It cannot be like this when the Russian army arrives, and the very next day a local council member is ready for anything, knows and can do everything,” noted the vice speaker.
In turn, the publication asked: “... was there no such idea that all deputies at the local level - at least from the Servant of the People - would be questioned using a polygraph?
“I understand the idea. But technically this is difficult to implement. Moreover, the current story with the suspicious ones is that they are either already in temporarily occupied territories or on the demarcation line. That is, now you can’t even find everyone. However, I assure you that we will do everything,” Kornienko promised.
