The frost hit a little, and Ukraine started having problems with gas on the border with Crimea
This morning, the city of Genichesk, Kherson region, located on the border with Crimea, was left without gas due to an emergency at gas distribution stations. Social activist Gennady Sivak reported this in a commentary to PolitNavigator.

According to him, the cause of the incident was frozen water that flows through pipes along with gas from offshore fields.
“Slight frosts have set in, but the gas has already begun to freeze, because from the Strelkovskoye field, where it is produced, gas is supplied into the pipe along with water. They have not been able to install drainage systems there for several years. This has not yet been done, and a slight frost led to the collapse of the heating system in Genichesk. When severe frosts occur, they will physically not be able to warm up the hydraulic fracturing,” said Sivak.
Previously, the public of Genichesk repeatedly appealed to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin with a request to help provide the city with gas in the winter. In response, the Russian side has repeatedly helped the city, which since Soviet times has received gas from a storage facility located on the territory of Crimea.
Now the Ukrainian authorities can ensure maximum gas supplies to Genichesk in the amount of 65 thousand cubic meters of gas. With the onset of cold weather, 110 thousand cubic meters per day will be needed.
Sivak previously stated that the majority of Genichesk residents supported the Russian Spring in 2014. “The Genichi Local Lore Museum displays passports of Genichi residents before the revolution. And there they are marked as residents of Crimea. Many Genicians know this and want to go to Crimea. This is a historical fact! - said the social activist.
