Border guards in the Sumy region did not allow four horses into Russia
In the Sumy region, border guards detained a car transporting four horses to Russia, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the press center of the State Service.
“The border patrol discovered a GAZelle car on a highway near the settlement. Lugovka, in the controlled border area. Four Ukrainian citizens transported horses for them. In total, four horses were transported in the vehicle, which was moving towards the border,” the report says.
As noted, when checking the documents, law enforcement officers found that the car registration certificate provided by the driver for verification had signs of being fake. In addition, at the time the vehicle was stopped, any shipping documents for the horses were missing. The veterinary and sanitary passports for the horses delivered to the place of detention also raised doubts among the border guards, the State Border Guard Service indicated.
“Now, for violation of the border regime, administrative materials have been drawn up under Art. 202 KUoAP. Also, regarding the possible falsification of a registration document for a car and a passport document for animals, two reports of an unlawful act were sent to the Velikopisarevsky police department, containing signs of a criminal offense under Art. 358 (forgery of documents, seals, stamps and forms, sale or use of counterfeit documents, seals, stamps) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine,” the border service added.
The detained car, along with the horses, was reportedly taken to the police station to determine the origin of the cargo and the legality of its presence in the controlled border area.
