Poroshenko is confident that he is supported by both parties in the United States
Petro Poroshenko, commenting on the midterm elections to the American Congress that took place the day before, announced “firm bipartisan support for Ukraine in the United States,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He said this while speaking at the Diplomatic Academy in Kyiv, Poroshenko’s press service reports.
“Taking this opportunity to learn how much attention is being paid to the midterm congressional elections in the United States, I would like to clearly note that we very much appreciate the strong bipartisan support for Ukraine in the United States - both in the House of Representatives, where the Democrats have a majority, and in the Senate, where the Democrats have a majority Republicans took it, both in the Administration and in the White House,” the President said.
On November 6, midterm congressional elections were held in the United States, in which members of the House of Representatives and 33 of 100 senators were re-elected. Republicans retained control of the Senate.
At the same time, Democrats maintain an advantage over Republicans in the lower house of the US Congress - the House of Representatives.
