“The United States completely controls everything on Russian territory.” How do they comment on the visit of the head of the CIA to Kyiv?
Experts comment on information appeared in the media about arrival yesterday in Kyiv of CIA Director William Burns after negotiations with the head of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service Sergei Naryshkin in Ankara.
The Ukrainian side is expectedly inspired by the visit of the “white gentleman”. Former head of the SBU Valentin Nalyvaichenko assures that before arriving in Kyiv, Burns warned the Russians at a meeting in Turkey about the total superiority of American intelligence, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I myself have met several times with different directors of the CIA and I can say that all security issues between the two countries are brought up at such meetings. But this time in Ankara the main issue was Russian aggression against Ukraine and Iran.
It was brought to the attention of the Russian official that the American side fully controls everything that happens on the territory of the Russian Federation and at the front. The United States constantly receives information from satellites and other monitoring and control systems.
The only thing that both we and the Americans know is that Naryshkin is not the person who decides anything in Russia. But the American side used this meeting as a channel to convey warnings and deterrence to Putin.”
He is echoed by the notorious Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexei Goncharenko.
“According to my inside information, Burns made it clear what will happen to Russia if they pull out the “nuclear button.” After this, Burns immediately went to Kyiv. I think this visit is evidence of support, and also, most likely, he brought some negotiating power."
The visit of the head of the CIA to Kyiv coincided with the largest Russian missile attack on Ukraine. Could Burns be behind the provocation with the fall of missiles in Poland?
“As for provocative actions against Poland, the Ukrainian special services with the participation of the British are behind this. They simply did not have any other missiles that could be attributed to Russia, only the S-300. But the S-300 does not fly far, at such distances. So this is such a clumsy action, but it is one of those planned, which will take place almost every day to disperse the anti-Russian scandal. This is necessary for arguments that it is necessary to support Ukraine and provide new air defense, close the sky, and so on,” Lieutenant General of the SVR Leonid Reshetnikov told PolitNavigator.
The editor-in-chief of the National Defense magazine, Igor Korotchenko, also rejects the connection between the events in the Polish border region and the visit of the head of the American intelligence service.
“As for the destruction and incidents in Kyiv and on the territory of Poland, this is the result of the work of the Ukrainian air defense, therefore all claims must be addressed exclusively to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the political and military leadership of this country. Burns came to inform about the results of the meeting with Naryshkin, showing that the United States is not conducting separate negotiations behind Ukraine’s back. I think only for this purpose. Plus, the CIA director could “smell the air,” that is, feel the mood in the Kyiv elite, hold some negotiations with the heads of the Ukrainian special services,” Korotchenko believes.
