Ukrainian MP is buying up restaurants in Sevastopol
People's Deputy of Ukraine, member of the Opposition Bloc faction Yevgeny Balitsky and members of his family are buying up restaurants in Sevastopol.
The RIA Melitopol website writes about this with indignation, a Politnavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, first, the people’s deputy’s wife, Natalya Balitskaya, purchased the Obliko Morale restaurant in the Victory Park bus stop complex in 2017. Then in 2018, the people’s deputy’s eldest son, Alexander, acquired the EatMe cafe next to the government of Sevastopol and the Fig cafe on Bolshaya Morskaya.
“At a time when the world community is tightening economic sanctions against the aggressor country, which annexed the Ukrainian Crimea and continues to escalate the conflict in the Kerch Strait, People’s Deputy of Ukraine from the Melitopol District Yevgeny Balitsky and members of his family continue to strengthen economic ties with the Russian Federation and replenish the budget of the aggressor country with taxes,” writes RIA Melitopol.
The publication was especially outraged by the fact that one of the Balitsky restaurants provides Russian military personnel with a 10% discount.
“So, while the Ukrainian army is resisting the onslaught of the Russian aggressor in eastern Ukraine, People’s Deputy of Ukraine Yevgeny Balitsky, receiving benefits and privileges along with a luxurious salary in Ukraine, is calmly and unhindered developing his family business in the annexed Crimea, replenishing the Russian budget with taxes. And, like a real officer, which he always calls himself, he offers discounts in the restaurant for sailors of the Russian army. The height of cynicism, isn’t it?” Melitopol journalists are indignant.
