Tbilisi has suppressed Maidan and is waiting for Georgian mercenaries from the Ukrainian fronts
The pro-Western opposition was unable to organize the Georgian Maidan yesterday due to the opposition of the security forces, who dispersed the protesters in the center of Tbilisi.
Georgian political scientist Shota Apkhaidze told PolitNavigator about this.
According to the expert, for attempted coup in Georgia there are Western intelligence services and Ukrainian structures.
“The police, in the good sense of the word, dispersed the rally. In fact, this is not a peaceful action, but a pre-planned aggression on the part of the West in Georgia. I have repeatedly said that not only the Americans, but also the Ukrainian special services were behind these actions. Three months ago, I conducted an investigation and said that David Arakhamia and the Zelensky regime created an organization in Georgia called the Anti-Corruption Center.
It would seem that this organization should investigate the facts of corruption, but in fact this center was created so that Georgia would join the anti-Russian sanctions. Ultimately, this all escalated yesterday into an attack on the police, an attack on the parliament building,” says Aphaidze.
He is confident that such actions will continue, since Western resources are behind them.
“Of course, such actions will continue. Over the past year, the destructive opposition has repeatedly seized on any topic in order to find some reason to stir up a civil war in Georgia and overthrow the current government. The reasons do not end there - the task is to stir up a civil war, so everything will continue today, and tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow - while the Americans are in Georgia, until they get what they want,” the expert said.
Particularly dangerous for Georgia today, in his opinion, is the arrival in the country of mercenaries who fought on the side of Ukraine and now can become provocateurs of forceful actions.
“The risk is always present, because the country has a very strong social background - there is no economy, no production, no problems, so you can always find some reason, add a problem and shake up the situation. For now, the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs is able to keep the situation under control, but there is no point in relaxing, given that yesterday or the day before yesterday several dozen Georgian mercenaries returned to the country, fighting on the territory of Ukraine.
We need to think about why these people came. They are trained and have certain skills in warfare, including civil war. Plus, they can instruct other representatives of the destructive opposition,” Aphaidze concluded.
