Romania accused Ukraine of violating the UN declaration
Romanian political parties oriented towards Hungary appealed to the UN with a request to protect the rights of the Hungarian minority in Transcarpathia.
This was reported by the Mukachevo.net website, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The statement was signed by the leaders of the Democratic Union of Hungarians in Romania, the Hungarian People's Party of Transylvania, the Hungarian Civic Party, representatives of the Hungarian National Council and the Székely National Council.
“Since now in Ukraine they are not only depriving representatives of Transcarpathian minorities of their rights, but also persecuting Hungarians, we should recall Article 2 of the UN Declaration on the Elimination of Discrimination. We ask you to warn Ukraine, in accordance with the UN Charter, so that it bears responsibility for the document it has adopted,” the statement says.
Earlier, PolitNavigator reported that Hungary has begun preparations for the coming collapse Ukraine.
