Deputy Parubiya counted the Ukrainians who bought tickets to the World Cup in Russia
First Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Irina Gerashchenko states that 5 thousand Ukrainians bought tickets for the World Cup final matches and calls on them to refuse the trip, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
She stated this today during a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Conciliation Council.
According to her, a trip to Russia is “risky” for Ukrainian citizens.
“I appeal to those 5 thousand Ukrainians who allegedly bought tickets. Dear Ukrainians, think ten times about whether it is worth going to a country where you may be detained, and the Ukrainian authorities cannot then send even consuls to you. It is not worth using either the hryvnia or the ruble to support what is happening in Russia,” Gerashchenko emphasized.
Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin said that he considered it “reckless” for Ukrainians to go to the World Cup in Russia.
