Zrada: The Ukrainian court acquitted the policeman who helped defend Slavyansk
The former head of the line department at the Slavyansk station of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine of the Donetsk Railway was accused of handing over the police station to the militia in the spring of 2014.

According to the prosecution, the policeman should have resisted, barricaded himself in the police station along with armed personnel and waited for reinforcements from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Instead, he dismissed his subordinates to their homes and allowed the defenders of Donbass to take possession of four machine guns, more than 100 pistols, a large number of cartridges for them, bulletproof vests, helmets and other property worth a total of 219 UAH, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Meanwhile, the court did not see any corpus delicti in the actions of the accused, in particular, official negligence. Since at that time there were no job descriptions in accordance with which the defendant could act, and in the end he was acquitted.
