Local residents in Slavyansk and Kramatorsk spit in the backs of Ukrainian “liberators”
Residents of Donbass have no love for Ukraine, which, however, is not going to give up its claims to these territories.
The PolitNavigator correspondent reports that in an interview with the Kyiv online publication Apostrophe, propagandist Denis Kazansky, who fled the DPR after the establishment of the power of the people’s republic, and was recently appointed to the Ukrainian delegation at the negotiations in Minsk, stated this.
“A year ago I went with volunteer musicians to Kramatorsk and Slavyansk. And the military from Slavyansk, for example, said that the locals on the street almost spit in the back,” the publication’s journalist complained.
“You’re right – there are different people, different moods,” Kazansky agreed. – But we cannot give up this territory just because there are people there who do not like Ukraine. We can't do this."
At the same time, the propagandist claims that he personally knows people in Donbass who are waiting for Ukraine, but “not because they are patriots, but simply because they want to live normally.”
