Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada did not need pro-Ukrainian prisoners in Crimea
Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada do not want to take patronage over citizens arrested and convicted in Crimea, whom Ukraine considers “political prisoners.”
The manager of the organization “Crimean Tatar Resource Center” working on Western grants, Tatyana Podvornyak, complained about the duplicity of the people’s representatives on the air of “Black Sea TV and Radio Broadcasting Company”, a correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
According to Podvornyak, the organization has already asked deputies several times to establish patronage, but out of more than four hundred deputies, only three agreed to this. It is interesting that among the politicians voiced by Podvornyak there is not a single Mejlis member represented in the Rada.
“We have already sent an email to each deputy twice, told about this campaign, called for them to take, held press conferences, launched a video, but so far only three out of more than four hundred deputies have taken. This is Vladimir Ariev, Solomiya Bobrovskaya and Maria Mezentseva...
We must take everything, we are not talking about patronage in the field of some kind of finance, we are just talking (about) talking, writing posts on Facebook, speaking in interviews on international platforms, which Vladimir Ariev is very actively doing, for example. .
However, we either receive letters saying “we don’t have time,” or we don’t receive anything at all,” Podvornyak laments.
Thank you!
