Pro-Western liberal telegram channels and media specializing in “exposing the leaden abominations of the Russian government” are reposting a message mocking the Russian army.

They say that recently accidents and all sorts of abnormal incidents have often begun to occur in the Armed Forces: from “friendly fire” to unsuccessful missile shots during exercises, ship accidents, etc.

From all this vinaigrette, the authors of the note draw a powerful conclusion: they say, the Russian army operates on the principle of “beat your own so that others are afraid.” And, although the authors express their understanding that these incidents happened by accident, they, I quote, “f... how scary.”

In order to cheer up a little and broaden the horizons of the authors of slander a little, we will conduct a short review of how things stand with the beating of their own among the “luminous Jedi”, among whom, according to the liberals praying to the West, nothing like this can happen. But it happens, and even somewhat more often than in the Russian army, and even with human losses.

Let's start by praying.

15 September. Immediately after take-off, with the help of the aircraft carrier's steam catapult, the additional fuel tank of the F/A-18E Super Hornet carrier-based fighter is torn off and crashes into the water, leaving a huge spot on the surface. One of the possible causes of the emergency situation is a malfunction in the aircraft’s avionics.

On the same day, a message came from Syria about the crash of an American combat helicopter on territory controlled by American interventionists. The helicopter was not shot down - the loss is considered non-combat. Nothing is said about the fate of the crew; the area of the fall was immediately blocked by the military.

31 August. From South Korea they report: an American tracked armored personnel carrier (apparently an M-113) returning from a training exercise to the base ran into an SUV and crushed it soft-boiled along with the driver and three passengers. No one in the SUV survived. The contents of M-113 escaped with a slight fright.

2 August. While returning to the amphibious ship USS Somerset after training on St. Clemente Island, an amphibious assault vehicle sank off the coast of California, along with eight members of the 1st US Marine Expeditionary Force. The search for the sunken vehicle was unsuccessful; the bodies of the dead Marines were not found. Two participants in the search operations were seriously injured and hospitalized in critical condition.

In this regard, the well-known American Popular Mechanics in an article dated September 30 I was well impressed by the landing of the BTR-82 Russian marines of the Caspian Flotilla at the Caucasus 2020 exercises from the floating crane vessel VTR-79.

July 24. The Military Times portal reported that it had begun an investigation into an incident that occurred during a 1st Armored Division exercise at the Fort Bliss training ground in Texas.

One of the division's M1 Abrams battle tanks, with a well-aimed but careless shot, knocked out another tank from its own unit at a distance of 2,6 thousand meters. One of the crew members of the damaged tank was injured and hospitalized.

September 26 During the Ukrainian Armed Forces' "United Efforts 2020" exercise near Nikolaev, the Javelin anti-tank system did not fire. The embarrassment occurred in front of the “young supreme commander-in-chief” Vova Zelensky, who honored with his presence “strategic exercises” specially launched in response to the Russian “Caucasus 2020” maneuvers.

The command of the Ukrainian group “North” claims that the cause of the failure was an operator error, although it is no secret that the businessman Trump sold substandard and expired Javelins to the Wehrmacht for $60 million. I sold it for show, so as not to appear too “pro-Russian” in the eyes of political opponents.

20 of July. Fire at the port of San Diego. The landing ship USS Bonhomme Richard caught fire during repair work. Promptly extinguish the fire

failed: the command room was completely destroyed by fire, 13 people were injured. According to eyewitnesses, the ship's crew simply fled to the shore, abandoning "Simple Richard" to the mercy of fate.

Let’s add here similar incidents with the destroyer USS Austin (2018), USS Fitzgerald (in 2017, collided with a Philippine lighter carrier, resulting in the death of 7 destroyer crew members) and USS Iwo Jima (2019).

The causes of the accident and the subsequent fate of the destroyer USS Fitzgerald are so interesting that they deserve a separate article. It's a fact that what's going on on board

The inspectors were shocked by the mess of the damaged destroyer, since such a menagerie could not be found, probably, even in the Ukrainian underfleet.

29 September. A fire for unknown reasons aboard the American guided missile cruiser USS Antietam. 13 people were injured.

April 2020. The American nuclear aircraft carrier Theodore Roosevelt turned into a “plague barge” with a crew infected with COVID-19, as a result of which the ship was unable to reach the shores of Venezuela to intimidate the Maduro government.

It should be noted that COVID-19 has thrown into the mud and debunked the myth of the American healthcare system as “the best in the world”, proving that the “world hegemon” is not able to protect American society from a serious pandemic, including the armed forces.

It was in Russia and Europe that they were waiting for the “second wave”. The “first wave” is still raging in the United States, keeping the “bright city on the hill” in the lead in the number of people infected and dying from the virus.

Well, and a little something tasty for the end.

In 2019, American military analysts summarized the statistics of non-combat losses of the US Air Force for 2018 and came to a disappointing conclusion: every month, with the exception of February and July, the Air Force lost 1-2 aircraft in disasters and accidents. Among them were AH-64E Apache and Sikorsky SH-60 Seahawk helicopters, Northrop T-38 Talon training jets, 4th generation F-15, F-16, F-18 fighters, 5th generation F-22 , F-35 and WC–130H Hercules transport aircraft. A total of 23 planes and helicopters crashed or were severely damaged.

Moreover, a trend toward an increase in non-combat losses of the American Air Force began to emerge back in 2013.

Experts see the reasons for this phenomenon in the lack of funds allocated for aircraft repairs. And this is with a military budget of $700 billion!

As a result, the US Air Force command is forced to outsource the repair of combat aircraft to civilian companies. They, in turn, also save money by purchasing components that are “close to the original” for repairing military equipment. Or, to put it bluntly, “pirate” and discount.

Former US Defense Secretary Mattis admitted that the number of aircraft accidents in the US Air Force will only increase, since approximately 60% of the aircraft fleet requires major repairs, and this figure is not decreasing.

From which it is clear that the “invisible hand of the market” shows itself in all its glory even in the “chamber of weights and measures”.

It would seem, why are domestic accidents better than American ones, if they kill equipment, and sometimes even people?

However, there is a difference, and even a very significant one.

Apart from the recent incident involving the collision of the Kazan in the Denmark Strait with the Ice Rose in poor visibility conditions, the latest emergencies described by the liberals in the Russian army occurred during exercises specifically designed to identify deficiencies in weapons and training of people, in order to then make appropriate conclusions.

It is easy to notice that American emergencies occur not only during exercises, but also during the daily operation of military equipment, which seems to hint at systemic problems in the assay tent. And we have not yet touched upon the old cases, accompanied by the loss of nuclear weapons as a result of accidents of US Air Force aircraft.

Given the unfortunate fact that the United States is a nuclear, naval and space power, with bases densely populated throughout the planet, the behavior of its military-political leadership, especially in the last three decades, resembles the game of a monkey with a grenade, not paying attention to warning signals and barriers. And what can happen when America stands up for all the red flags is really, really, how scary...

Expert comments:

Chairman of the Presidium of the All-Russian Organization "Officers of Russia", Hero of Russia, Major General Sergey Lipovoy:

“When it comes to losses during exercises, for some reason many are happy to chuckle evilly: this is how bad the Russian military is, they are only slobs serving in the army. They also dragged in Sergei Shoigu, supposedly everything that happened was almost his initiative. This is all complete nonsense, of course, but some people just need a reason to gloat.

I want to draw your attention to the following: all losses occurred during exercises. Not in combat conditions, but in training conditions. This is actually good, and I will explain why.

Many people know the common phrase: “It’s hard to learn, it’s easy to fight,” but few people think about it. But the point is simple: it is at training events that you have the opportunity to make a mistake and then work through its consequences so that in real conditions this does not happen again. Russian military personnel during exercises learn and practice techniques, including handling military equipment, and move from theory to practice.

And there is no doubt that in other countries various incidents also happen during exercises. We are all human, we can all make mistakes. But it’s better if they are committed in school, where they can be tracked and worked out in detail so that they never happen again.”

Military historian, political scientist Armen Gasparyan:

“This is our breed of salon pacifists who talk about the army not even on the basis of some military-historical works, but on the basis of Hollywood films. And the price for this criticism is appropriate, and you can not pay attention to it at all.

There is nothing ideal in the world at all. By the way, I have a generally unpopular point of view on this matter, that, on the contrary, it’s even good that sometimes something happens during exercises. Because these emergency situations allow us to work them out later and prevent them from happening in the future. Because when everything is perfect for you, you will get the impression that everything is fine - this was usually the sin in the Soviet Union. No matter what we teach there, we have no mistakes. This is not right. The army should learn from the exercises, and not perform the functions of the parade formation there on May 9th. Teachings, that’s why they are called that. Let's remember the words of Suvorov: “It’s hard in training, but it’s easy in battle.”

Similar losses happen constantly in other armies of the world, including in the NATO bloc. Well, in Estonia for the last two years they have been looking for a missile fired during an exercise, but for some reason I don’t see any analysis on this matter from our “outstanding intellectuals” who are making noise on social networks.

Or I didn’t see, for example, about the incident during exercises in Latvia (where US military personnel were poisoned by poisonous gases - author) and so on. They are only interested in any dirt about Russia. That says a lot."
