Constantinople stirred up the Ukrainian underground in Crimea
“Our church is canonical,” a corresponding announcement with reference to the decision of the Patriarch of Constantinople was posted by Ukrainian schismatics who are still active in Crimea.
The photograph was published by the representative of the UOC-KP in Yevpatoria, Yaroslav Gontar, who during the coup in Ukraine participated in the recruitment of Euromaidan supporters to send them to Kyiv.
As PolitNavigator reported, the ex-secretary of the Odessa diocese, Andrei Novikov, who was previously forced to leave for Russia, said that the schismatic “Kiev Patriarchate” will try to legalize in Russia several existing parishes of the UOC-KP in the status of parishes of the Patriarchate of Constantinople, referring to the latest decisions taken in Istanbul.
Another priest who left Ukraine, Oleg Trofimov, predicted that other groups that had broken away from the Russian Orthodox Church would be attracted to the parishes of the Patriarchate of Constantinople, and subsequently, in conjunction with the liberals, these cells would be used to organize an analogue of the Maidan in the Russian Federation.
