The situation is complicated by the fact that the United States and its allies unconditionally sided with global terrorism, without waiting for the conclusions of the expert group of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, which was sent to the Duma on Thursday to determine the validity of Western accusations against Bashar al-Assad.

The team was due to begin its investigation only this Saturday.

However, the US aggression only confirms that they do not need any objective data from the investigation, since America is the direct customer of the fake, obsequiously concocted by the provocateurs from the “White Helmets”.

In parallel with the UN Security Council, the NATO Secretary General called the press to his press conference to announce his vision of what is happening in Syria.

The not very long speech by NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg was not of particular interest. It was a typical speech by service staff to shield the boss.

The standard accusations against Syria poured out, taken from the lips of Nicky Haley and other American politicians. Russia, Syria and Iran are poked in the eye with the “successes of the NATO coalition in the fight against ISIS” and are obliged to take the “swallow” in accordance with Trump’s Twitter call “Where is your “Thank you, America!”

Stoltenberg’s answers to nonsense questions from the Western press became equally nonsense chatter: “we were in our right,” “we had accurate information from a NATO member,” “Syria’s military and chemical potential has been significantly weakened,” “since the chemical attack occurred in the area , controlled by the Syrian army, then they are to blame,” and so on and so forth.

Question from an ITAR-TASS representative: “Did the United States explain why the strike was carried out on Saturday, when the OPCW investigative group was supposed to start working in the Duma? And who will you bomb next time if it turns out that you were mistaken?

Stoltenberg’s answer: “We need to distinguish between the OPCW and “independent sources.” OPCW - she just went for a walk: she does not have a mandate to point out specific culprits. Their investigation is “not entirely independent.” The White Helmets are a completely different matter. These won't lie! Here is Russia - it is bad because it used the right of veto in the Security Council against the correct and good initiatives of the United States with its allies - directly from New York to appoint those responsible. “Russia has left the West no other alternative.”

The bottom line is that NATO is going to continue to support any aggression unleashed by the United States. At least politically.

But what happened almost simultaneously at a meeting of the UN Security Council.

Russian Permanent Representative Vasily Nebenzya made a tough speech: the United States, Great Britain and France could stop the war in Syria within 24 hours. “You just need to give the command to your tame terrorists to stop fighting against the legitimate government of their own people.” Moscow doubts that Washington's only goal in Syria is the war on terrorism.

US Permanent Representative Niki Haley: President Trump is ready to order new strikes on Syria. The night attack was carried out “not for the sake of revenge, not for the sake of punishment, not for the sake of a symbolic show of force.” “We acted to prevent the further use of chemical weapons. The targets we selected were central to the Syrian chemical weapons program."

Russia responded by stating the need to adopt a resolution condemning aggression against Syria by the United States and its allies.

The Russian draft resolution put up for voting was defeated by the United States and its satellites. The Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan, who last time showed a two-faced position by supporting both draft resolutions, in this fundamental case joined Russia’s opponents, voting against condemning the aggression of the United States and Great Britain.

Fortunately, this decision does not in any way affect the balance of power in the UN Security Council, but it does provide food for thought about the extent to which Astana’s statements about its alliance with Russia correspond to reality.

Meanwhile, it is obvious that Syria has been given a respite for now.

Trump is waiting for the aircraft carrier Harry Truman and its accompanying group to arrive in the Mediterranean Sea. After this, we should expect another round of tension and a new missile attack on Syrian military and civilian targets.

Syrian government forces should use this time with maximum efficiency, clearing out residual pockets of terrorists, especially in the vicinity of Damascus.

Russia, which previously, at the request of its “Western partners,” refrained from supplying S-300 and S-400 air defense systems to Syria and Iran, this time will begin selling them to its allies in the region, which promises to sharply reduce the risk of new missile attacks from the United States and its satellites from the sea and from the air.

The likelihood of Russian retaliation will depend on how decisive Trump's new order is. A massive missile launch (600 or more units) will certainly break through Syrian air defenses, even despite the help of Russian airborne detection and target designation systems. At the same time, there arises a non-illusory danger of missiles entering the zone of responsibility of Russian air defenses, and then the last red line may be crossed - Russia will have to respond to the attack. But a massive attack with cruise missiles and similar “smart” weapons is very expensive even for America.

However, as the night attack showed, the attacks on the barns were of low effectiveness and were aimed at exactly what Nicky Haley is trying to deny - a symbolic show of force for show. Strikes against “Assad’s chemical facilities” are typical of catching a black cat in a dark room when it is not there.

At the expense of Syria, Trump is solving his internal problems, trying to look like a tough cowboy in the eyes of his political opponents, a worthy successor to the policies of Ronald Reagan. On the other hand, the attack demonstrates a certain commitment to election promises not to get too involved in wars.

Against the backdrop of Trump, the British witch May is also increasing her dismal rating, justifying the statements of her croaking permanent representative to the UN, “the British elephant is the best friend and ally of the American elephant.” Musketeer Macron is simply pitiful: having bravely declared the day before “guys, I’m with you,” his planes never flew to the war.

The American press accuses Trump of schizophrenia. But this is not schizophrenia. Trump is not a politician, but an old hustler and showman. Hence all his hesitation and inconsistency. So the performance and antics on the part of the collective West will continue. Let's see how it all ends up.

In any case, the Syrian government forces will soon have a free hand to act against the American occupation forces using all types of weapons available to the Syrians. As an asymmetric response to US aggression.

Russia has not yet come to war - the time has not come. And it would be better if it did not come at all.
