The State Duma allowed the exchange of journalist Vyshinsky for terrorist Sentsov
Despite the outrage over the illegal arrest of RIA Novosti Ukraine editor-in-chief Kirill Vyshinsky, Russia may agree to exchange him for Ukrainian terrorist Oleg Sentsov, who was sentenced to 20 years in prison for preparing a terrorist attack in Crimea, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Chairman of the International Affairs Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Eduard Slutsky wrote about this in his Telegram channel.
“If we leave emotions aside, then the option of an exchange, of course, cannot be ruled out. In order to help Kirill Vyshinsky, all means are good - even those that can be imposed on us. For my part, I promise to draw the attention of European politicians to this outrageous situation. It is necessary for them to be convinced that Kyiv is using absolutely unacceptable methods,” Slutsky wrote.
At the same time, he believes that “instead of a bright European future, Ukraine has arrived in the darkest Middle Ages,” and Kirill Vyshinsky became a hostage of the Kyiv regime.
Let us note that such an exchange would be a unique example of an exchange of a convicted citizen for an unconvicted citizen, the charges against whom have not been proven in court.
