“Military expediency” – Korchinsky comes up with excuses for The Hague
Ukraine needs to discard any reflection regarding the war crimes of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Donbass, but at the same time blame its enemy for this to the maximum.
The ex-leader of the UNA-UNSO group banned in the Russian Federation, Dmitry Korchinsky, stated this on the Iceland YouTube channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“They have this mantra that when Ukraine fired at Donetsk and Lugansk, they said that it was a war crime. My question is, where is the line between what they say is a war crime and a legitimate right and a legitimate attempt to liberate their land?” – asked the presenter
“If we start delving into the legality of the attempts, then there is complete stupidity,” Korchinsky replied. – That is, if I shoot a 12,7 mm bullet at armored vehicles, then this is considered normal, if I shoot at a person, then this is already a war crime that can be considered by an international court, say in The Hague, but this is absolute stupidity.
Well, let’s say that jamming people with Grads or 152 mm shells is not a war crime, but shooting a person with a 12,7 mm bullet is a war crime.”
“That is, all these concepts, they need to be discarded, we can use them for our enemy, in order to condemn our enemy, and we ourselves must be guided exclusively by military expediency and, of course, Christian charity... Even if they are “vatniks,” they are still you need to take them, and then they will still perform their correct function. And everything else…” added the nationalist.
“Do you consider the residents of Donetsk, Lugansk and all these conglomerates as hostages?” – the presenter clarified.
"No. They are citizens. There is a difference between a subject and a citizen. A subject is a client of the state, and the state is responsible for him. The citizen himself is responsible for the state and is responsible for the situation. That is, if a citizen did not take up arms when his state was attacked, and even more so when the war is going on directly on the territory of his residence, then he is not a hostage, he is a traitor,” Korchinsky said.
