Poroshenko lured Yulia Tymoshenko into a trap
Yulia Tymoshenko's headquarters is making a fatal mistake by trying to compete with Petro Poroshenko for the sympathy of the nationalist electorate. Kiev political scientist Sergei Belashko wrote about this on his Facebook.
The expert explained that Tymoshenko twice fell into traps set by Poroshenko’s technologists - when her party voted to impose sanctions against two supposedly pro-Russian TV channels, and also when Yulia began to praise the prospect of Ukraine’s separation from the Russian Church.
“Poroshenko’s team screwed Baba Yulia twice in a week: first they assigned her to fight freedom of speech on a couple of TV channels, and then they planted a tomos right up to autocephaly. But VONA has decisively shown everyone that she is never an agent of the Kremlin,” Belashko sarcastically comments.
He believes that by trying to intercept someone else’s agenda, Tymoshenko is depriving herself of the prospect of expanding the electoral space, which will ensure Poroshenko’s victory in the next presidential election.
“If this continues, then the scenario with Poroshenko and Boyko reaching the second round of the presidential elections will cease to be anti-science fiction. I’m looking forward to Tymoshenko’s speech about the need to “totally affirm the sovereign language of the nation in all spheres of public life, while resolutely distancing ourselves from Moscow and eliminating colonial sedentary conditions.” Well, a couple of articles about the victories of Ukrainian weapons in the Donbass, the liberation of Kuban and the upcoming parade in Sevastopol - just to be absolutely sure,” Belashko wrote.
