LPR leader Valery Bolotov said that the militias are ready to participate in peace negotiations, but only “on their own terms,” without specifying, however, what these conditions are, Vedomosti reports.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian security forces say they are not planning targeted destructive shelling of Donetsk, although individual stray bombs and shells could hit civilian targets, says reserve colonel Viktor Murakhovsky. The emphasis is on isolating the city, primarily from Russia, with the hope that the humanitarian crisis will lead to a loss of support for the DPR from the townspeople, but first Ukrainian forces will try to isolate Donetsk from Lugansk, the expert says.
