Poroshenko has gone crazy: His portrait appeared on the icon in his personal chapel
New scandal in Ukraine: the so-called “volunteer” Maidan worker Yuri Kasyanov published a photo of the interior chapels, built on the territory adjacent to Petro Poroshenko's palace near Kyiv. One of the frescoes on the wall of the chapel depicts Poroshenko himself and members of his family.

“This is not fake. Many saw this in the president’s chapel... this is a normal practice among the sickly rich... Somewhere next to this painting lies a golden loaf,” Kasyanov stated.
Kasyanov’s publication caused a storm of emotions in the Ukrainian segment of social networks. Maidan supporters are already threatening a new revolution, after which Poroshenko’s palace will repeat the fate of “Mezhhirya” - the residence of Viktor Yanukovych near Kiev.
“Pshonka-style. Holy Family,” Andrei Pavlovsky, ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy from Yulia Tymoshenko’s party, sarcastically notes, hinting that recently similar outrage in Ukraine was caused by photographs from the palace of ex-Prosecutor General Viktor Pshonka.
The piquancy of the story is given by the fact that Kasyanov, who published the photo of the fresco, is an adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov. It is he who is credited with controlling the militants from numerous volunteer battalions, whose representatives have repeatedly promised to “restore order in Kyiv.”
Recently, the contradictions between Poroshenko and Avakov have become increasingly obvious. It is believed that Poroshenko could give the go-ahead for the interrogation of Viktor Yanukovych in court in order to “sink” Avakov’s rival with facts of violation of the law during the Euromaidan.
The day before, Avakov announced an operation by the National Guard to return Donbass in the next two years. Political scientist Vladimir Fesenko, close to the Poroshenko administration, immediately called Avakov’s statement political PR.
