The IMF tranche did not help: the Ukrainian hryvnia began a new collapse
The billion-dollar tranche received by Ukraine from the IMF and pompously advertised by Petro Poroshenko could not contain the further collapse of the Ukrainian currency. Journalist of the Kyiv TV channel “1+1” Alexander Dubinsky writes about this in his blog.

“As expected, the foreign exchange tranche from the IMF did not help to contain the dollar exchange rate. Foreign exchange trading began on September 21 with a new rise in the price of the dollar - by 10 kopecks. Obviously, neither the American billion nor the European 700 million will help (the EBRD loan for the purchase of gas will be in transit to Gazprom),” he states.
