More than half of Serbs are ready to vote for Aleksandar Vucic’s party
A survey conducted by the Institute for European Affairs, a pro-Western structure in Serbia, showed that if the pro-Western Alliance for Serbia went to the polls, just over 7% of voters would vote for it.

“Average ratings and the general mood (of society - ed.) show an increase in support for Aleksandar Vucic and Anna Brnabic (Prime Minister of Serbia - ed.), even despite the large number of negative reviews from citizens that can be seen on social networks due to accepted measures and general management strategy (fighting the epidemic - ed.),” says a study by the Institute of European Affairs.

The respondents surveyed (1207 people in total) highly appreciated the work of the head of the Serbian Foreign Ministry, socialist Ivica Dacic.
At the same time, two-thirds of those who took part in the study said that they were ready to go and vote in the next parliamentary and local elections (they were scheduled by decree of the Serbian President for April 26, but were subsequently postponed to an unspecified date due to the coronavirus epidemic).
The majority of them (61,9%), if elections were held these days, would vote for the electoral bloc of the Serbian president “Aleksandar Vucic – For our children,” which is based on the Serbian Progressive Party. Another 10,8% of respondents would vote for the coalition “Socialist Party of Serbia” - “The Only Serbia” of Ivica Dacic and Dragan Marokvic Palma.

At the same time, the scandalous pro-Western Alliance for Serbia, boycotting the elections, would receive no more than 7,1%. The ratings of other parties, according to the survey, do not exceed 4%.
It should be noted that the Institute for European Affairs that conducted the study was founded in 2010 to “promote European values”, its ideology “sees Serbia as a full member of the Euro-Atlantic family of nations”, the organization lives on European grants.
At the same time, despite the ideological orientation, the organization’s specialists were forced to admit that the vast majority of Serbia sympathizes not with the pro-Western opposition, but with the patriotic course of Alexander Vucic.
