SBU General Vovk told how Shoigu will reach the borders of Novorossiya
Ukraine believes that Western states will fight with Russia for the interests of Kyiv, but not a single country will agree to this. Ukraine itself will be quickly captured in the event of a direct clash with the Russian army.
The former head of the SBU Investigation Department, General Vasily Vovk, stated this on Channel 4, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Vovk, in the event of war, Russia will destroy Ukrainian bases with airstrikes, and then establish control over the territory, at least reaching the borders of the former Donetsk and Lugansk regions.
“It is hypothetically possible that Russia will conduct a large-scale military operation. We must understand that today this is not the war that we see in the movies - infantry, tanks, cavalry and the like. We must fear the other.
Firstly, if Russia goes to war in Ukraine, it will be bombings, it will bomb all our bases, and then easily seize the territories.
Today we can talk either about the administrative borders of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, or about the so-called Novorossiya. These are eight areas. This was the plan of the 14th year, the creation of Novorossiya - Kharkov, Lugansk, Donetsk, Zaporozhye, Dnieper, Nikolaev, Kherson, Odessa - that's the whole story.
As for another operation to seize the Dnieper or the whole of Ukraine, of course, there is no talk yet. For now. There are other levers for this, when it will no longer be even a hybrid, but a hidden hybrid operation to capture through an internal “fifth column”...
It seems to me that we are not preparing for war, we want to force the world to protect us from Russia. But we obviously have to see, I see it, that the world does not want to fight with Russia, especially for Ukraine,” Vovk said.
