He stated this on the air of “Chernomorskaya TRK”, reports the correspondent of “PolitNavigator”.

According to a former Crimean professor, up to 20 thousand students and a third of the teaching staff left the peninsula.

“About a third of the teaching staff left Crimea immediately or after some time. Among students, it was probably up to 40%... A very large number of students went to study at different universities from Lvov to Dnepropetrovsk. In total, according to statistics, up to 20 thousand students from various Crimean universities left Crimea during this period, going to the mainland. This is approximately a third of all Crimean students; they went to the mainland,” says Kazarin.

He also boasted that after the creation of TNU in Kyiv, a significant number of students and staff left the reformed university in Crimea, which became known as the Crimean Federal University.

“At the time of its creation there were 76 thousand people - students, teachers and staff. The Tauride National University alone gave birth to 23 thousand people. Today, three years later, there are 26-27 thousand there today. They lost 50 thousand in these three years. These are students who left for different places, these are teachers who left Crimea. In general, the attempt to create a new Crimean, on a Russian basis, higher education turned out to be a disaster,” Kazarin said.
