“We don’t care about the truce, we won’t give up on drones,” SBU Colonel

Ex-ATO militant, SBU colonel and deputy from the Golos faction Roman Kostenko said this on the Espreso.TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Therefore, I think that these points that were specifically spelled out (I’m very interested in who proposed them?), namely the prohibition of reconnaissance, even if we are not talking about sniper fire, are in general a search for information that will provide protection, Firstly. People perceived the flights of unmanned aerial vehicles as simply blinding us. There were questions about who did this, which side proposed such clauses to be included in this truce?
People were, of course, discouraged by this. Political forces also escalated the situation, because I saw some speeches that really did not correspond to reality, but the situation was spiraling around this truce. It was really used by both one and the other side,” Kostenko added.
According to him, the commanders of the Ukrainian Armed Forces will certainly sabotage this truce point.
“I myself took part in the truces. Commanders on the ground - they will never allow themselves to be blinded and will provide themselves with the opportunity to protect their soldiers. Therefore, it is necessary to trust the armed forces and understand that they will not allow betrayal, because they have already suffered a lot of losses and learned how to fight.
They have learned not to trust the enemy, because diplomats who have never served in the army, who do not know what military affairs are and have not done anything else besides diplomacy, can sign anything at the negotiating table, without thinking about the army, without thinking , how the soldiers will rake it all in the trenches. However, the fighters also understand what diplomacy is and play it safe with their actions,” said the SBU colonel.
