A new scandal in Kyiv - President Zelensky’s office put forward an ultimatum to Mustafa Dzhemilev to leave Poroshenko’s party, from which the long-time Majlis leader entered the Verkhovna Rada. Dzhemilev himself spoke about this on air on the ATR TV channel, saying that he recently lost preferential funding from the budget for a reason.

Since Dzhemilev’s interview was published in the Crimean Tatar language, presenter Osman Pashayev had to retell the sensational news in Russian on his Facebook for a wide audience. So, the “indecent proposal” to Dzhemilev was voiced by the head of the presidential office, Andrei Ermak.

The discussion was about granting the Crimean Tatars national autonomy and special status, which the Mejlis deputies from the Ukrainian authorities have been seeking for a long time without much success. In exchange for this, the head of Zelensky’s office recommended Dzhemilev and other Crimean Tatar people’s deputies to leave the political parties of which they are members in order to form a non-party faction “Crimea” in the Rada. Then, they say, “issues related to Crimea and the deoccupation of the peninsula would be easier to resolve.”

Dzhemilev allegedly responded to Ermak as follows: “Andrey, I came into politics in 1961 (Dzhemilev’s first prison sentence) 10 years before you were born. How many proposals do you think I’ve had in 60 years?”

This is what the squiggle looks like. Although, it is known from the media that, having sat on the bunk “first mover” as a thief-windowman, Dzhemilev made a total of seven trips to the zone, including under the article “rape”. Now it’s called “entering politics.” All that remains is to add – “from the high road” – and the formulation will be exhaustive.

It would seem, what is the intrigue here? Well, Ukraine’s No. 2 politician summoned the “people’s deputy-authority” for a “proposition”—an event, at first glance, completely ordinary. Why would there be a scandal?

Comments from Mejlis activists on social networks also boil down to the fact that Ermak put pressure on Dzhemilev at the meeting, forcing him and other Mejlis people’s deputies to leave their political parties.

Dzhemilev claims that those “comrades-in-arms” with whom he coughed and presented (Umerov, Chiygoz and others) at the meeting refused the head of Zelensky’s Office.

As the play progressed, Dzhemilev’s backup dancer recalled that even before Ermak there were those who wanted to bend the “iron Mustafa”, putting forward ultimatums and demanding that he change his position. There were allegedly three of them.

In 2005 year Yushchenko put forward a condition - to abandon the declaration on the sovereignty of the Crimean Tatars, adopted at the second Kurultai in 1991.

In 2010 year Yanukovych demanded that Dzhemilev and other Crimean Tatar deputies move to the Party of Regions at all levels. In response to the refusal, the Council of Representatives of the Crimean Tatar People under the President of Ukraine was disbanded. All representatives of the “Majlis” were allegedly kicked out of the Council into the cold, and their place was taken by non-conflict future “pro-Russian collaborators.”

In 2014 year Putin joined the list of politicians who challenged “Dzhemilev himself.” With the caveat that he personally did not put forward any conditions, but only asked what he could do for the Crimean Tatars, however, some unnamed “Putin’s envoys” allegedly offered the Mejlis members “twenty percent representation in all authorities in Crimea in exchange for recognition of Crimea as Russian.”

Let’s leave the last “confession” to the conscience of the evil dwarf’s fan club.

There is an opinion that nothing prevents the Mejlis people’s deputies from raising questions about “de-occupation” and “national autonomy” directly from the depths of their factions, and Ermak is sculpting the “Crimea” group on his own initiative in order to create the desired PR effect.

The creation of the non-party faction “Crimea” has its pros and cons.

The Crimean experience shows that wresting preferences from the authorities with a single fist would be much more convenient than now, when the forces of the Mejlis members are scattered across several political parties at once, and they are connected by some kind of internal party discipline.

On the other hand, Crimea is closed and lost to the Mejlis members, so Dzhemilev and his associates have to play on someone else’s field, where preferences are squeezed out of power by much more influential and numerous Natsiks in the conditions of the depleted budgetary hand of the giver. And the fight in droves for “national autonomy and status” can cause sharp discontent among the “brothers” who are sensitively guarding the sacred cow of Ukrainian unitarianism without any autonomy, including cultural ones.

And so, instead of a dangerous and slippery path in a narrow circle of like-minded people, without leaving the parties, you can stay on a hearty parliamentary ration, without risking anything and without being responsible for anything, but only from time to time trading in bread according to the pre-election agreement.

Dzhemilev claims that his conversation with Ermak took place last year, and he refused the ultimatum offer. Then why raise this topic now, in an interview with ATR?

If you simply remind the whole of Ukraine about yourself and your unyielding position, then today this can inspire few people, but if you remember that at the moment Zelensky’s Office is busy putting together an anti-Russian coalition within the framework of the notorious “Crimean Platform”, it is possible that Mustafa, in turn, In this way, he decided to force Ermak to make room a little and let the aksakal of the anti-Russian movement, free from active political activity, steer the process.

And, of course, the scandal was clearly used to draw attention to the problems of underfunding of ATR and the illusory prospect of its complete elimination due to the scanty coverage of the target audience. There is also a corruption component there. And in fact, why shouldn’t one swindler help strengthen the position of another swindler, and even a fellow tribesman and like-minded person, by a little dispersing the hype and shouting the tea?

In conclusion, we note that Ermak, with his “valuable offer” to Dzhemilev, set up not only himself, but also his boss, whom the “Svidomo” from the “Union of Toad and Viper” have been pouring slop on for the second day. If the ultimatum was Vovochka’s own idea, then he himself is a fool and his own evil Pinocchio.

“Now the problems of the ATR channel are clear. Larechnik Ermak against the legend of the dissident movement of the USSR. Zelensky takes all Ermak’s sins upon himself,” the political scientist serving Poroshenko, Taras Berezovets, is indignant.

“Your stay in power will soon end. But your responsibility – no, it won’t go away. Crimeans and Ukrainians are not aquarium fish, we know everyone by name, and this is how, by name, you will have to answer to the indigenous people of Ukraine and its law. Continue. We document everything,” ATR Deputy Director Aider Muzhdabaev threatens the Zee authorities.

Let's stock up on popcorn. This story will clearly have a continuation ahead.
