The “revolutionary” authorities of Armenia hastened to Washington
Armenian President Armen Sargsyan met with US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo. The Armenian publication MediaMax reports this.
“At the meeting, which took place in a warm atmosphere, President Sargsyan told the Secretary of State about the readiness of the “new Armenia” to continue strengthening relations with the United States,” the publication quotes a message from the Armenian Embassy in Washington.
Serving Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who came on the wave of the Armenian Maidan, the telegram channel “Bagryamyan 26” sets American diplomacy as an example of Russian diplomacy.
“During Armen Sargsyan’s recent visit to Moscow, the rector of Moscow State University turned out to be the highest-ranking figure who received Sargsyan. Do you feel the difference between Russian and American diplomacy? And then Russia wonders why its partners and allies prefer to work with the United States,” writes the telegram channel.
The President in Armenia, according to the new constitution, does not have significant powers.
