Tank “temnik” and Shenderovich’s dreams

“Echo of Moscow” on the eve of Victory Day did not miss the opportunity to fart “Shender”. The semantics are not mine, I borrow from Viktor Shenderovich, who added the phrase “fart with tanks” to the manual on “victory.”

Host Maxim Kournikov started talking with his guest about history textbooks. Shenderovich works with his mouth, releasing the first portion of stinking gases: “Just about the rewritten history textbooks. Especially for Mrs. Yampolskaya, for Mr. Pushkov, Mr. Tolstoy, especially for them I will say it again. The Soviet Union started World War II with Adolf Hitler.”

Let's stop. There is as much historical truth in these words as in the statement that Shenderovich started the third world war along with his mattress.

Then the “mattress partner” continues to talk nonsense, revolving around his only “historical knowledge”, like around a stripper pole.

“We brought blood and suffering to many peoples, and to our own, of course, first of all,” Shenderovich raged. - But also to many peoples of Europe. We bear full responsibility for the outbreak - the USSR - of the Second World War. This is a historical fact. And instead of rattling caterpillars and farting tanks, we need to open the archives in honor of the next May 9th. So that we all, who want, can read how it happened. And be horrified. Repent, as advised by Viktor Petrovich Astafiev, who wrote the most terrible, perhaps honest, book about this war. "Cursed and killed." Repentance, he said. On this day we must repent and ask for forgiveness. And not to celebrate something.”

First. “Fart”, “don’t care” - “not only all” Russian writers are capable of burning with such verbs. You can sympathize with the people who live with such a creature on common square meters. One can even sympathize with the mattress on which Shenderovich abuses these verbs.

Second. Let's say that Shender is ready to spit at anyone who is not critical enough of the non-aggression pact between Germany and the Soviet Union of 1939. But here's the nuance. Does Shenderovich have the same irreconcilable attitude towards the Munich Agreement of 1938? Or were England and France allowed to give Hitler a little wave (once - not a mattress)? Shenderovich has no complaints against England and France that they paved the way for Hitler to Czechoslovakia; that Munich 38 became the catalyst for World War II?

Our mattress minister goes on tour to England quite often. He gives lectures there and has theatrical deals. I didn’t want to give a damn about the British - for the “Munich agreement” and the unleashing of something there? Did the point play? Or “understand, this is different”? Or did you want to give a damn about the Czech Republic? Let Tsvetaeva address her sympathy to her: “Oh, tears in my eyes! Cry of anger and love! Oh, the Czech Republic is in tears! Spain is in the blood!..”? In the meantime, Shender will miss the first exam question and fidget on the mattress...

Third. Can Viktor Astafiev’s recommendations (on May 9 to repent and ask for forgiveness), which the fair-faced “mattress servant” refers to, be carried out by Shenderovich and Akhedzhakova, and we will listen to the front-line soldiers who are more authoritative for us?

In the book “How the Russians learned to fight. Frank conversations with front-line soldiers" (2020) by Alexei Timofeev contains many interesting testimonies and opinions recorded by the author starting in the 90s. Among them there are interviews and excerpts from speeches by front-line writer Yuri Bondarev. In 1999, he said this about Viktor Astafiev:

“...I was once considered from the outside to be my close friend. And then he began to write absolutely terrible things about the war - there was no need to hold Leningrad, Zhukov was a “poacher” of our people, who littered Europe with millions of corpses, and so on. They even say that it was necessary to surrender Moscow, and then you and I would drink good German beer!.. The reason for all such statements is in a very fatty and sweet pie, which is always put on the table of changelings and traitors.”

By the way, the “fair-faced” talking heads at one time spoke more energetically about the “vain retention” of Leningrad than Sharikov repeated the cherished words: “Primus! Recognition of America! Moscow seamstress!

Once upon a time, a literary critic, first deputy editor-in-chief of the Znamya magazine, Natalya Ivanova, stated on the 5th Russian TV channel that Stalin’s order not to surrender Leningrad was an atrocity - it would be better to cede the city to the Germans. A few years later, Lyudmila Ulitskaya ranted in the same spirit: they say, the Nazis took Prague and Paris easily, but the residents suffered much less.

When Alexander Moiseevich performed this song on the air of Echo of Moscow, the presenter clearly felt sick.

But let’s return to our sheep, who are not random guests on this radio (like Gorodnitsky), but practically live there and hammer away at their liberal “temniks” like mattresses.

If tanks spoil the air so much for Shenderovich’s sensitive nose, then it’s scary to think how the Topol missile system affects Viktor Anatolyevich and what threats it poses to his black mouth.

The “tank clank” of the military parade also irritates other “light-faced” people.

Ekaterina Rozhdestvenskaya, the daughter of the poet Robert Rozhdestvensky, hysterically asks on social networks: “How can you disrespect the townspeople so much??? I’m not just talking about traffic jams, I’m also talking about the stench and noise that fills all the streets from equipment standing for hours and smoking! How can you stop life in the city?”

Ekaterina Robertovna, what about the song based on her father’s poems: “Memory, memory, you can, you must turn these arrows for a moment”? Don't remember?

Immediately the bard Veronica Dolina hurries to get some air: “Before the tanks come.” This is how they joke. Now the tanks are a concern. And a few years ago, the “Immortal Regiment” incredibly irritated Veronika Arkadyevna: by her standards, these are those “who pulled out all their dirty family footcloths”...

Let us give the floor to Shenderovich once again (and let him close the blower): “The decisive role of the Soviet Union does not need to be reflected. We started this war, we paid the most for it. But they didn’t draw any conclusions. This is what is tragic at a historical distance. We didn't draw any conclusions. We pride ourselves on horror. We are proud of shame, shame and crime. We can repeat it. And that means Stalin, and that means Katyn. And that means concentration camps. And deportation. Amnesia. No leading role of the Soviet Union is needed. It's too much".

In general, we are all superfluous with our Victory Day, with our “Immortal Regiment” - at their endless celebrations of life. They yearn for those times when on NTV in the 90s we heard the vile voice of Shenderovich, but almost never heard the voice of Yuri Bondarev on federal channels. Thanks to the author of the book “How the Russians Learned to Fight” for preserving for us this direct speech of a great Russian writer:

“We worked on the film “Liberation” for six years, studied German and our archives, UNESCO documents. (We need to know materials that were not widely reported to us and which all sorts of ORT and NTV - the biggest liars in the world - will not tell us now. I studied their television in the USA, it is not so deceitful.) The losses of our and the German armies are comparable! They have about six million dead, we have about 8,6 million.

I spoke with Zhukov, and with Rokossovsky, and with Konev. Zhukov is the greatest commander in the world! Next to him you can only put Suvorov. If it were not for Stalin and Zhukov, two great people who complemented each other, there would be no radiance of our Victory.

And you and I would have long ago become black soil, fertilizing our land for its invaders! I remember the war as the most worthy period of my life..."

Well, as a bonus, there’s one more quote from this book. Writer Alexander Artsibashev, preparing an interview with Bondarev for his 90th birthday, recorded the following memoirs of the writer:

“During the war, I had the opportunity to encounter Bandera’s followers more than once. I remember that in front of the Carpathians, our artillery column was moving along a deep ravine. On both sides there are mountains overgrown with forest, and above their heads there is a bottomless blue sky. Beauty! And suddenly from behind the trees there was heavy fire. The first wounded groaned. We deployed our guns and hit the hills with high-explosive and fragmentation shells. They razed everything to the ground. Afterwards I sent my soldiers there to comb the area. No one was found alive..."

Here is the time for Viktor Shenderovich to repent and slam his forehead into the mattress: “Forgive us, Banderaites.” In the meantime, we'll celebrate.
