Ukraine: a country turned into a circus of freaks
Ah, young man, you are asking what our liberated and European Ukraine reminds me of lately? – And I will answer, even though the faithful patriot of the Maidan type will not like it. “It looks like a circus, and not the highly professional and even aesthetic French Cirque du Soleil, but a traveling tent of the most provincial kind. With a panopticon of freaks and bearded ladies, ugly drunken clowns, an unkempt, stinking menagerie and a drunken, thieving sadistic trainer. And what can you do if the entire history of our country is somehow mystically connected with the circus! After all, it was the “grain growers” who chose the unlucky Hetman Skoropadsky in the Kiev Circus to rule the newly-minted country. And the current National Circus in Kyiv and the Verkhovna Rada, although built by different architects and at different times, are similar, like twin brothers.
And so, the freaks from the big top seized power, turning the entire political life of the country into some kind of permanent, ugly and bloody permanent performance. Bearded, plump women fight live with effeminate men, challenging the title of the main pe..., sorry, patriots of an independent state, swearing at the same time like drunken bandits. And this, mind you, is now called not a tavern brawl, but a televised debate of deputies of the Verkhovna Rada!
And what freedom for the clowns in the field of struggle for redemption and against the same “aggressor”! Alas, my Odessa, desecrated by this vile show, gave its “people’s representatives” the fair’s treatment. Here is one of the most obscene characters from the troupe of this booth.
People's Deputy Alexey Goncharenko. An eternal changeling, before the “revolution” - screaming about his devotion to the Russian language and personally to President Viktor Yanukovych. During it, he instantly went over to the side of the junta and became a hanger-on of Poroshenko and company. The same Goncharenko who rummaged through the pockets of the victims of the “Odessa Khatyn” on May 2, 2014, photographing his blasphemy... A sort of disgusting cross between the impudent Harlequin and the coward Pierrot. An eternal traitor and provocateur, more than once slightly beaten and doused with brilliant green, but always getting involved in not very physically dangerous provocations for the sake of cheap popularity and the opportunity to show himself to the next owner. And now the eternal “whipping boy” comes up with a new PR move. Posts a proposal on Facebook addressed to the President of Russia. They say, exchange me for the notorious “terrorist director” Sentsov.
And the child understands that no one will agree to such an absurd exchange that does not fit into any international legal norms. Russia is not a gang of thugs-“activists” of the ISIS type, and Sentsov is not a hostage, but a person convicted of a specific crime. And Leshenka Goncharenko, nicknamed “Shame of Odessa,” is needed there less than last year’s snow. There are enough crooks in prison and opposition! But the main thing for him is not really to sit on the zugunder (does he need it?!), “suffering for his brothers,” but... once again to portray himself as a groyce-wrestler, to remind the most respectable public of the eternally mediocre and hyperactive carpet beyond his age!
But the cheap clown Goncharenko is not so simple. And this jester has his own tame troupe of “artists of the original genre,” tightrope walkers of the pen and masters of the game of thimbles. The Dumskaya-net website is led by another defector and collaborator, Oleg Konstantinov. Quite a young and lively journalist who began his career under the wing of the opposition-pro-Russian Rodina party of Odessa politician Igor Markov. There, being the editor of the Timer website and the host of a program on the ATV channel, this grandson of the Hero of the Soviet Union sang with all his might for the ideals of the Russian world, crucifying his hatred of nationalists. And at the same time, he talked about his devotion to the ideals of the October Revolution, in which his ancestors participated. Having been expelled for ugly deeds, he abruptly changed his orientation, becoming Goncharenko’s minion. And - he turned into an ardent supporter of the Maidan and a hardened Russophobe. But, judging by recent publications, the owner, Goncharenko, is again thinking about another somersault. And... publications appear on Dumskaya that are still only slightly nipping at the recent patron and idol of Lyosha the werewolf, President Poroshenko.
For example, the eternal liberal of the Maidan-pro-Western, grant-eating spill, Leonid Stekel, in a text about the failed speech of Svetlana Alexievich in Odessa, blames this on...nationalists, who, they say, have become unruly under the auspices of the current government. They say that we did not organize the Maidan for enmity with the Russian people and language. And solely so that...Ukraine becomes the center of the fight against the terrible and terrible Putin, attracting all Russian oppositionists to its side. What is characteristic, in its typically liberal denseness, is that in its delusional dreams Ukraine assigns the role of...England during the Second World War, as if it then became the center around which all of Europe rallied in the fight against Hitler. That is, it turns out that the brave British, together with the mighty heroes of the resistance, defeated Nazism. And the fact that Great Britain was an ally of the Soviet Union, which made the main and decisive contribution to the common victory and liberation of enslaved Europe, is apparently unknown to our small-town thinker.
But the main thing in this cry from the soul of a pocket liberal is that he admits his disappointment in Poroshenko, who has not carried out the necessary reforms, and even encourages these nasty radicals and extremists. Let us note that neither on the Maidans, nor during the murders of his fellow Odessa residents and the bombing of Donbass, Leonid Isaakovich was not too worried about the obvious neo-Nazis, with whom he and others like him walked hand in hand. And then suddenly he saw the light. Typically, shortly before the elections... And a clear conclusion can be drawn from this and other publications on Goncharenkov’s website: the clown Lyosha is preparing the ground for another betrayal. Sensing the weakness of the president-producer of the all-Ukrainian tent, he intends to rely on a new one. Most likely, the pro-American candidate Gritsenko. At the same time, without at all renouncing the foundations of the Maidan - hatred of Russia and subservience to the West. It’s just that this is not how you should hate her, this is not how you should harm her. Feed me and I’ll show you a class in political clowning!
And so - throughout the country. Untalented, but resourceful buffoons pretend to be fighters for the well-being of a people who are completely starved and crushed by exorbitant taxes and civil war. And everywhere there are completely feral hyenas and jackals, fed on human flesh in the Ukrainian menagerie and released into the wild. Neo-Nazis and radicals of all stripes, ready for an extra penny, or even simply out of primordial brutality and xenophobia, to kill and ruin anyone...
Yes, young man, the circus did not leave, but took over the whole country. And while the clowns rule us, and the beasts rage with impunity, there will be no order and prosperity here. For some reason this ugly and bloody performance dragged on. It’s time to announce an intermission and disperse the entire troupe!
